Report: Call of Duty Gifting Bundles Feature Returning in Black Ops 6 Per Datamine
Have you missed sending gifts to your friends in Call of Duty: Warzone and/or multiplayer? If so, you’ll be glad to know that you’re probably going to be able to do that again soon with Black Ops 6!
This tidbit of info was unearthed via a datamine of the recent Black Ops 6 beta build that leaked recently. CODWarfraeForum sent MP1st an image of the code string confirming that Call of Duty gifting for bundles is coming back!
For those unaware, Activision pulled the gifting feature in Call of Duty way back in COD: Vanguard when the Caldera map was released for Warzone. There was a glitch that enabled players to get bundles for cheap, which in turn led to loads of resellers, which didn’t sit well with Activision. While nothing’s official, the fact that it’s spotted in the game files of the multiplayer beta suggests that Treyarch will be implementing it soon. Of course, this is still unofficial news, so take it with a grain of salt for now.
Chances are, if gifting is indeed making a return, expect Activision to announce it officially at some point.
In other Call of Duty news, the recent datamine and Black Ops 6 leak seems to have stemmed from a title update released on the backend which housed the Black Ops 6 beta files.
