Report: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo Launches Feb. 6 Per PSN Trailer Leak
Following last week’s State of Play, Sony announced that another episode is set to air on February 6, and this one is focused on Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth more than anything else. Well, it seems a trailer for the event was published a wee bit earlier than intended, as it leaked that the FF7 Rebirth demo is set to launch on Feb. 6!
Oddly enough, it seems Sony is the one that messed things up this time, as the trailer that leaked the date can be accessed on the PS5 dashboard under the “Explore” portion.
The trailer description states, “Experience the power of choice! The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo is out now, allowing you to step into the shoes of either Cloud or Sephiroth during the Nibelheim episode. Uncover the opening chapter of the game’s story and explore the world map. Your adventure, your choice!”
When Is the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo Out?
Given that Sony itself leaked this, this is as legit a leak as there’s any. The State of Play for FF7 Rebirth is due to air on Feb. 6, and the trailer was published at 4 pm PT/7 pm ET/8 am HKT, which is when the show ends, so this is most likely a surprise shadow drop just like what Square Enix did before with FF7 Remake.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is set to launch on Feb. 29 exclusively on the PS5.

Yes, i seen that it said the FF7R demo is now available and when i checked the PlayStation store it wasn’t available. I just assumed it would be available within 24 hours after seeing the announcement for the demo, it said on North America PSN it was available February 5th but it depends on the region and time zone.
Surprised they didn’t release the demo a week before the official release date like with FF16, a week before the official release and you might as well just wait for the actual game.
