After the earlier confirmation of a Fall 2023 release date for the game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2‘s release date is reported to be in September this year, according to Venom voice actor Tony Todd. Todd also states that full-scale publicity for the game will begin in August with the release of formal commercials.

Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 title has had a vague “2023” launch window since it was first announced, with the studio confirming in December 2022 that the game would be released in the fall of the current year. In a surprise development, Venom voice actor Tony Todd (famous for having repeatedly and accurately leaked details of the game) has now revealed a much more exact release window for the game.

In a Twitter thread where he revealed stills from his mo-cap work for the game, Todd has stated that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s release date “looks like September,” claiming to have been told that “massive” publicity for the game will begin in August with the airing of commercials. The actor asks fans “to hold [their] breath… gonna be necessary.” While Todd has been a reliable source of information for the game’s development, we advise fans to take his statements with a grain of salt until Insomniac Games confirms them with an official announcement.
