The idea of a Red Dead Redemption remaster is getting stronger and stronger, as Rockstar Games reportedly leaked a new logo during the GTA Online weekly update. This logo was taken down minutes later, but not quickly enough to prevent the info from spreading, as shared by Tez2 allegedly after a leak by The Council.

Rockstar’s new site update, live an hour ago, added a new reference within the games list.

While the logo may look exactly like the one splattered on the cover of the original game released way back in 2010, the more attentive eyes have noticed that the trademark (™) symbol has been replaced by a registered trademark (®) symbol for the alleged new logo. This may seem like a minimal detail, but it supports the theory that there’s some sort of update going on. The leak also came with the codename RDR1RSP, which the community is assuming is just representing the following: Red Dead Redemption 1: RockStar Presents.

For now, there isn’t much more to go by, but this slip by Rockstar Games could very well mean that an official announcement is right around the corner. If we look at evidence from a very recent past, we have the very interesting rating of Red Dead Redemption in Korea last June, and some rumors here and there.

But every piece seems to be falling in place when we realize a couple more details: Take-Two has previously revealed during its Q4 and Fiscal Year 2023 Conference Call that there are plans to “launch 2 new iterations of previously-released titles” during Fiscal Year 2024, one of them potentially being Red Dead Redemption. Considering that the current Fiscal Year runs from now until March 2024, the countdown may be ongoing.

Red Dead Redemption is the acclaimed western game released in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A PC version has been requested countless times by fans of the series, and it may finally be happening.
