Red Dead Redemption has been rated by Korea’s Game Rating and Admission Committee again in 2023. This is possibly some sort of unannounced Red Dead Redemption remastered version as the original game was released in 2010 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
The application for the rating was submitted on June 5, 2023, and has been rated “not for teenagers” by the committee due to the following reasons:
An action-adventure game set in the western United States in the 1900s to kill enemies to survive.
- Direct sensational expression
- There are scenes depicting sex, and sensational body exposure such as breasts is expressed
- Excessive expression of violence
- There is physical damage and excessive blood stain expression in the case of attacks using firearms.
- Direct criminal expression
- Crimes such as violence against the general public, train robbery, stealing horses, etc. are possible.
- Excessive vulgarity, profanity and profanity expressionsProfanity and profanity are frequently expressed in conversations between characters, etc.
- A realistic imitation of erraction
- You can use game money in bars, etc. to play poker, blackjack, etc.
- Excessive expressions of disgust and fear
- There are expressions such as dead bodies being infected with zombie virus and reviving or biting the human body.
- Direct drug expression
- There are drug delivery, drinking scenes, smoking scenes, etc.
Korea Game Rating and Admission Committee had already published ratings for the original Red Dead Redemption and its different editions. Therefore, this indicates that this is some sort of a remastered version. A remastered version of Quake 2 was also leaked by Korea’s game rating board last week.
Rockstar Games hasn’t made an official announcement regarding a Red Dead Redemption remastered at the time of writing this. We will let our readers know as soon as we get an update.
