Resident Evil 4 Remake Length Is “About the Same” as the Original According to Capcom

With the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 4, Capcom is not only overhauling the visuals, but we’re also getting new combat mechanics too. However, one thing that hasn’t changed it seems, is the Resident Evil 4 remake length compared to the original.

Speaking to PC Gamer, Resident Evil 4 remake Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi confirmed that Resident Evil 4 remake will run about the same as the original game released in 2005. Hirabayashi states, “the play time for RE4 is about the same as the original game.”

This should come as good news for those who found the Resident Evil 3 remake a tad on the short side. Then again, that game wasn’t exactly known for its length, and unless Capcom crafted new levels and encounters, it would always be on the short end.

For reference, the original Resident  Evil 4, was roughly around 15-20 hours in length overall, which I find to be the sweet spot for horror-action games, but that just might be me.
