Rumor: Indiana Jones and The Great Circle PS5 Version Coming Months After Xbox Launch

Indiana Jones PS5

Rumors continue to grow that Microsoft plans to release a bunch of first-party titles on other competing consoles, with the latest being Indiana Jones and The Great Circle and a possible PS5 version coming months after the Xbox’s release.

The report comes from The Verge, which says sources close have told them that Bethesda is considering releasing a PS5 version of Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. This comes hot off the heel of Starfield being rumored to come to the platform, as well as some datamine to suggest that Hi-Fi Rush is also coming to it.

According to The Verge’s source, the wait for the PS5 release won’t even be that long, as it comes to be as short as a few months after the Xbox Series X|S release.

Of course, this is a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt despite it being corroborated with other outlets and media figures.

Our Take on This Indiana Jones and The Great Circle PS5 Release Rumor:

As we stated in the Starfield rumor post, from a business standpoint, this may make more sense as Microsoft and Xbox have been very open about expanding their lineup of games and services to other platforms. While one could say it devalues Xbox as a console, from the perspective of Xbox themselves, they no longer see things as being just about the console but as their ecosystem.

Still, this is a rumor and shouldn’t be taken seriously until things are officially announced. According to the rumors, it shouldn’t be long, as Hi-Fi Rush is supposedly dropping in Q1 of 2024. It was the first title to be rumored as coming to the PS5 and the Nintendo Switch, which would only add credibility to the rest of the rumors. Still, as stated, take all of this with a grain of salt. It’s not official until it’s official.
