Rumor: Total War Studio Creative Assembly Working on Star Wars Strategy Game
Creative Assembly, the studio known for the Total War franchise, is reportedly working on not one, but three Total War games, and one of them is based on Star Wars!
This latest unverified leak comes from DualShockers, who claims that as of October 2023, Total War: Star Wars is reportedly the second of the three new Total War games being made at the studio. However, it seems this isn’t due for release anytime soon, as the report states that it’s possible Creative Assembly is gearing up to release the strategy game in the “next couple of years.” Having said that, the report also states that there is no way to know how far along the game is in development, so we could be getting it sooner than expected.
Adding more fuel the fire is VGC’s Andy Robinson (who has been reliable when it comes to leaked stuff) who teased that a Star Wars RTS from a “big-name developer” is being made on May 4. Robinson has

The latest Total War game is Total War: Pharaoh released last year for Windows and macOS. Could we possibly get a Total War: Star Wars version for consoles? Given the complexity of the strategy genre’s controls, and the fact that there hasn’t been a Total War game released on consoles, I wouldn’t count on it.
Chances are, this is the real deal. But given it hasn’t been officially announced by Creative Assembly or parent company SEGA, we should still take this with a grain of salt.
