Star Wars Outlaws Wanted Levels Can Be Cleared by Defeating Death Troopers; You Can Piss Off All Syndicates to Make Game Harder

Star Wars Outlaws Wanted Levels

In case you didn’t know, Ubisoft’s upcoming Star Wars Outlaws features a “wanted” level much like Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto games. However, unlike the GTA games, cops won’t be chasing you in Outlaws, but the Empire.

Just like in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, your wanted level in Star Wars Outlaws goes up as well, and Empire enemies pursuing you will hike up in terms of difficulty. However, there is a way to clear your wanted level in a planet. In a video interview, Massive Entertainment Lead Systems Designer Matthieu Delisle explains that if you reach the maximum wanted level in the game, you can expect Death Troopers to be called in to take out Kay Vess, but if you manage to defeat them, you’ll be able to clear your wanted level. This is not an easy task, as Delisle states that this is one of the top challenges in the game.

If that’s not hard enough for you, there’s even a way to make the game more challenging. In Star Wars Outlaws, there are four syndicates that Kay can align herself with or make enemies of. Apparently, you can piss off all four syndicates, which means each one will have a contract up for Kay’s head. Imagine that: you have the Empire pursuing you and all syndicates also hunting you down.

Massive Entertainment Senior Narrative System Designer Alice Rendell adds that players would have to actively try and “annoy” everybody (every syndicate) all at the same time to get to that point (where each one is hunting you down). Mind, I fully expect someone to do this just for the fun of it.

Star Wars Outlaws is set for release this August 30, 2024 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
