SEGA Files New Persona Trademark Ahead of Xbox Event

On Monday, we learned that Xbox would be hosting a new third-party Preview event today. The showcase is expected to feature a strong presence from Sega, with a look at titles such as Stranger Than Heaven, alongside other games. However, rumors have also been doing the rounds regarding the potential inclusion of the JRPG franchise Persona.

It now looks likely that this is the case, as we have uncovered a new trademark suggesting Sega is getting ready to reveal new information on one of their upcoming Persona entries during today’s event.

New Trademark Points to Upcoming News for the Persona Franchise

Update: Unfortunately, Persona was nowhere to be seen at today’s Xbox Partner Preview, so we will have to keep waiting to see if this trademark leads somewhere in the near future.

Original Story:

The trademark in question was registered today in Europe by Sega Corporation, and the classification covers a wide array of different marketable products. While the trademark doesn’t explicitly name a specific title, the timing strongly suggests that the franchise is active behind the scenes ahead of today’s event. At the very least, it points toward a significant Persona presence during the showcase.

As for which game this could be, all signs point to a new trailer for Persona 4 Revival, the highly anticipated remake of the classic Persona 4. This theory gained strength after a recently deleted post from the official Xbox account, in which the account responded to a fan’s comment about the remake, teasing that the title would be present at today’s showcase.

We also can’t discard Persona 6, the next mainline entry that has reportedly been in the works for a long time. However, based on the current landscape, including a Sega fiscal report pointing to the Persona 4 Revival release window within or after FY2027 (between April 2026 and March 2027), it’s looking like we should expect to see news about Persona 4 much sooner.

Anyway, we won’t have to wait long to find out what SEGA has in store, as the event is scheduled to kick off in just a few hours. We will be sure to keep you updated as more news breaks.
