Silent Hill 2 Remake Will Be a PS5 Exclusive Until Oct. 8 2025 Confirms New Trailer, So Don’t Expect an Xbox Version Until Then
Regardless of which platform you’re gaming now, chances are, you’ve heard that Konami is releasing a Silent Hill 2 remake next month for PS5 and PC. Now for those on Xbox (or even Nintendo) hoping to play this the horror game on your platform, the earliest you can do is is after October 8, 2025.
This was revealed by the latest Silent Hill 2 remake trailer titled “Immersion.” At the end, it mentions the date and how it won’t be “available on other formats” until it passes.
Obviously, there’s a deal made by Sony and Konami on this, which is par for the course for Sony. Mind, I’m not saying it’s OK, as I believe the more people can play this, the better. Of course, don’t expect the Xbox and whatever platform version to be available the day the deal expires, as chances are, that we’ll get an announcement confirming the version first before it’s released a few months after. At the very least, Xbox fans have a glimmer of hope that they’ll be able to play the horror remake at some point in the future.
