Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero player count steam

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero already saw impressive pre-launch numbers for concurrent players with its early access, but now that the game is finally out and available for everyone worldwide, it seems that it has truly “broken the heavens” as it has garnered over 100,000 players on Steam alone!

Vegeta, What Does The Scouter Say About Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero? IT’S OVER 120,000!

As of writing, the game has only been available for a few hours, and though we don’t have any stats on PlayStation or Xbox, we can see that the title is already a resounding success, as over on Steam, the game has peaked at a whopping 122,000 concurrent players! The thing is, the day isn’t even over yet, and that number still seems to be growing by the minute, meaning we fully expect it to be a lot more once the count has accurately updated on the Steam Database.

According to Steam Database, it currently sits at number four for the most played fighting game, though the other spots are your typical traditional fighters in the vein of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. To put things in perspective, Sparking Zero is now the most played Dragon Ball game of all-time on Steam.

Quite an impressive feat to see, though we aren’t surprised, given that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is meant to be a follow-up to the Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi series, a series that hasn’t had a new entry since 2007. That’s a whole 17 years of waiting for a new entry, and fans have been begging for the follow-up ever since.

We’re sure we’ll have official sales numbers from Bandai Namco real soon, but so far, everything points to this being a massive success for the publisher, so congrats! Now if you don’t mind, I need to go back and try to beat Great Ape Vegeta for the hundredth time.

Stay tuned to our Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero review hitting the site soon.
