Star Wars Eclipse “Still Exists” According to Developer Quantic Dream

Star Wars eclipse

Almost two years ago, the Star Wars Eclipse game teaser from developer Quantic Dream appeared over the gaming horizon with little to almost zero details. Quantic Dream has been quiet about the project ever since its initial announcement in 2021, though it looks like the project isn’t dead yet.

In an interview, Lisa Pendse, Vice President of Marketing for Quantic Dream, states the days of Star Wars Eclipse aren’t over. In fact, the development is very much active, though the process seems to be cooking up a bit. In her exact words with IGN, Pendse simply commented: “Can I say it still exists? Because it exists. It’s just not ready. It’s simmering.”

While this may not spell much for audiences, the game is still being made to some extent. Rest assured, however, that Star Wars Eclipse will follow the same DNA as Quantic Dream’s award-winning Detroit: Become Human title according to Pendse This essentially means that there is no “Game Over” screen, for multiple characters and outcomes can come into play through a single experience.

Details may be scarce, but Star Wars Eclipse is still revving up its engines. Even if Quantic Dream is now owned by NetEase, the developers are committed to getting the game done correctly. Ultimately, this translates into an open-ended deadline since NetEase doesn’t impose launch dates, according to Pendse. Only time will tell here, which does ensure that the upcoming Star Wars game will be a worthwhile title to look forward to.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the trailer for Star Wars Eclipse for a little refresher. Developer Quantic Dreams may be silent in terms of its progression with the anticipated game, but we can still get a good idea of what to expect when the title releases sometime in the near future.
