Star Wars Jedi 3 Confirmed by Cal Kestis’ Voice Actor Cameron Monaghan

During a panel at Ocala Comic Con last week, Cameron Monaghan, the voice of series protagonist Cal Kestis, confirmed that Star Wars Jedi 3 is currently in the works. This news comes hot on the heels of series Director Stig Asmussen announcing his departure from Respawn Entertainment just a few days ago.

The panel can be seen in full here:

Regarding Star Wars Jedi 3, Monaghan had this to say:

We’re working on the third and we’re in the process of doing it right now. That’s a big undertaking and there have been some conversations so far. Hopefully when all things are said and done we’ll be able to go in and make something really cool for you guys again.

This shouldn’t be much of a surprise, as the game’s director Stig Asmussen has openly mentioned that he sees the franchise as trilogy.”

EA CEO Andrew Wilson teased just earlier this month that Respawn’s upcoming projects are “very exciting.” The Jedi games have a great track record so far, bugs aside. It’ll likely take a few years for the next game to see the light of day, but it’s good to know it’s coming.

While you wait for Star Wars Jedi 3, check out our review of Star Wars Jedi Survivor. We gave it an 8/10 and said, “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a fun action game and a worthy follow-up from Respawn.” For those on last-gen consoles, don’t fret, the game is headed your way as well, though there’s no timetable for that just yet.
