Fans anticipating the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake (KOTOR remake) may have to wait a little longer before they get to try out the upcoming title, as Embracer Group CEO Lars Wingefors refused to comment on the game’s development progress in a recent Q&A.

The question was asked during the video game holding company’s quarterly earnings presentation, where Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was among the games listed under “announced games” in the report. Here’s the full exchange between an investor and Wingefors, as shared by journalist Stephen Totilo:

Investor question: Could you please clarify the current status of the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic remake in regards to its development status and what shape is it in.

Embracer CEO Wingefors: Favorite question. [pauses as questioner chuckles] I have no further comments.

A couple of years ago, the remake for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was announced, and since then it’s reportedly been delayed indefinitely, with the game handed over to Saber Interactive after dismay over former progress with Aspyr.

With the CEO being this tight-lipped, things aren’t looking too good for those hoping to play the remake, especially if the reports are to be believed.
