Steam Client Update for June 20 Released for Fixes, Here’s What Got Changed
For those gaming on PC, you might want to start your Steam client, as there’s an update out today, June 20, and it includes fixes to missing input for some third-party Nintendo Switch controllers and more. Players should automatically download the new Steam patch, though don’t be surprised if you need to restart the app in order to see the changes made.
Steam Client Update for June 20 Patch Notes:
General
- Prevented some duplicate network traffic if ISteamInventory service calls are duplicated in error by Steamworks SDK games.
Steam Input
- Fixed missing input with some third party Nintendo Switch controllers.
- Fixed hang waiting for controller testing after initial setup.
- Fixed being unable to cancel initial controller setup.
- Fixed touch controller being unresponsive after changing mouse mode, or other settings in the Steam Link app.
That’s about it. We don’t get a lot of Steam updates, but once Valve releases one, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
