If you’ve been trying to sign into your Steam account this evening, you may notice that there appear to be some connection issues, as Steam servers are down in some regions.

Update #1: It appears that the issues have been resolved. Try closing out the client, and if it’s still not launching, launch task manager and force close it there then try to launch and login again. 

While Steam has yet to acknowledge any downtime on Twitter, we and many others have reported issues with the client, from no longer launching to getting a connection status error telling us it could not connect to the network. Over on Down Detector, reports are currently flooding in that other users are experiencing the same issue.
