PS4-owning cat lovers rejoice! Publisher Annapurna Interactive, media production company iam8bit, and distributor Skybound Games have announced that the standard physical edition of 2022’s feline adventure Stray will now also be coming to the PS4, with a release date of November 8 this year.
Previously, players who wished to buy a physical edition of Stray for the PS4 were limited to pre-ordering the iam8bit Exclusive Edition for $44.99, which costs $5 more than the standard physical edition for the PS5 (priced at $39.99). However, that is no longer the case.
PS4 players can now pre-order the standard physical edition of Stray for $39.99, and it includes the six full-color art cards that come with the PS5 standard physical edition. The PS4 version will ship November 8, 2022, a few weeks after the PS5 version’s September 20 release date. Players purchasing the PS4 standard physical edition will also get a free upgrade to the PS5 version of Stray.
Stray iam8bit Exclusive Edition and Vinyl Soundtrack
The iam8bit Exclusive Edition is still available for both the PS4 and PS5. Priced at $44.99 with shipping estimated to begin in Q4 2022, it includes exclusive, unique goodies for enthusiastic Stray fans:
