TERA Update 1.75 Feb. 25 Out Now, Bugs & Compensation Announced

1. Apologies for bugs and maintenance after the Build Ver 90.01 update.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience players might have experienced after the update and start of the Battle Pass season.

There were some players who exploited the intention of the “Battle Pass Level Account-Sharing System” and abused the bug to accumulate a tremendous amount of in-game property.

The repeated maintenance and the sanctions, therefore, were made to protect the players who have not exploited the flaw of the system.

We would like to provide the following rewards to all TERA Console players who have experienced inconvenience due to the lack of our TERA Console team this time.

• Coverage

Players who logged in during 18th Feb 2021 after maintenance ~ 24th Feb 2021 24:00 KST

Except for the players who were imposed sanction as below

• Compensation (Claim within 7 days)

1) Inventory Expansion

2) Bank Expansion

3) Elite Gold 7 days

4) TERA Coin 300

5) Battle Pass Level +5 (Available regardless of Battle Pass Season)

2. Notice on Penalty for some players

We intend to proceed with sanctions against players who have repeatedly acquired enormous quantities of goods by using bugs and loopholes in the system.

The subjects of sanctions are the players judged to be clear that they intentionally attempted to use system problems through the repeated creation of characters and exploit of bugs exceeding common sense.

For some cases with less severity, we have unbanned the accounts after withdrawing items acquired in an inappropriate way, and no further sanctions below will not be applied.

• Penalty list is as below.

1. A player who has obtained rewards multiple times by deleting and creating a character more than the number of character slots belong to the account.

a. Please note that the abused count and total in-game value were reviewed when imposing sanctions.

b. We have withdrawn unfair item gains made by players below, and the sanction level was downsized in consideration of the fact that the flaw came from the system.

c. This sanction is in addition to the previous week’s account ban.

2. Players who acquired goods of an abnormal size through the infinite rewards bug

a. Please note that the abused count and total in-game value were reviewed when sanctioned.

b. We have withdrawn unfair item gains made by players below and determined the level of sanctions in consideration of the first sanction.

c. However, in the future, if the system’s bugs and problems are intentionally used and abused to the extent that it affects the value of other players’ property, we will strongly sanction them.

d. This sanction is in addition to the previous week’s account ban.

3. Compensation for Elite Status inapplicable issue

From 20th Feb 14:00 pm KST ~ 20th Feb 20:00 pm KST, Elite status was not showing and not applied on some of the players. It was resolved on that day and already announced, but if you still have the same issue, please contact our customer service.

We would like to provide the following compensation to ELITE STATUS users who have suffered from this problem.

• Compensation: Elite Status 1 day

4. Change in the Battle Pass Reward system

We have decided to change the Battle Pass free reward structure as below.

• All the free rewards were changed into non-tradable, non-bankable so that the character solely uses the reward for itself.
• Some free rewards will be changed.

Compensation above will be sent to the players during the maintenance. It will be sent sequentially, so there might be some delay in receiving items.
