The Callisto Protocol PS5 Pro Support Impresses With New Visual Upgrades
Here’s what’s new for the horror game straight from Striking Distance’s press release:
What’s New:
- Full Raytracing in all modes.
- Quality Mode: 30FPS at 8K with Full RTX.
- Performance Mode: 60FPS at 4K with Full RTX.
- Balanced Mode: 40FPS at 4K with Full RTX.
Yep, you’re reading that right! There’s full raytracing in all modes with this update, and with an impressive 8K resolution available for Quality Mode.
While the horror game might not have sold as Krafton would have liked, it’s still a nice move by the studio to implement visual enhancements. If you haven’t picked the game up, go read our review here where we state, “The Callisto Protocol is a good first shot at terrifying you in space. While not as scary as Dead Space, and lacking the same kind of satisfying combat, there is still fun to be had amidst the sometimes enragingly-unfair fights and odd story pacing.” Note that since the game launched, there’s been multiple updates that made the gameplay experience better, which should make this game a good horror game to get at a discounted price.
