The Division 2 Down for Maintenance on Aug. 26 and It Will Take Longer Than Usual
Heads up, agents! Ubisoft has taken The Division 2 servers down this Aug. 26, and this will take longer than your usual maintenance downtime.
For the schedule and what to expect regarding today’s server outage, read on.
The Division 2 Servers Down on Aug. 26 and It’s More Than Just Three Hours
According to Ubisoft, today’s maintenance downtime is approximately 4.5 hours and starts now! This is much longer than the three-hour maintenance server outages we usually see.
While we expect a server-side update to be applied (and not a client download), please note that there will be no gameplay-related changes, as Ubisoft stated today’s update “includes backend infrastructure improvements that won’t be visible to players.”
Also of note, compared to past maintenance downtimes, there is no prior announcement, so some players might be caught off-guard.
In other The Division 2 news, the Survivors content has been announced, though it seems we won’t be seeing it for quite some time.
The good news is, outside of that survival mode, Massive Entertainment has promised more support, as the Year 7 roadmap has been revealed.
If anything changes regarding today’s The Division 2 server downtime, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.
