Capital Games and Electronic Arts (EA) have revealed that their upcoming mobile RPG The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth is set for a May 10 release date on iOS and Android. A gameplay trailer showcasing its turn-based combat, battles, customization, and progression has also been released. Pre-registrations for the game are open now.

The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth is an upcoming mobile RPG from Capital Games and EA that features an original story centered around a Ring of Power, and expands on the lore and races of existing Tolkien writings to “create a more diverse and inclusive Middle-earth.” From the developers:

As the player discovers a mysteriously abandoned new Ring of Power, visions of their potential journey flash before our eyes – battles and adventures feature beloved and classic characters. Glimpses of the player menus detail hero preparation, team building, and exciting campaign selections. Customization, leveling, the turn-based combat, and much more is in store.
