The Quarry Online Multiplayer Delayed to July, Gameplay Overview Trailer Released

The Quarry Online Multiplayer

If you’re looking forward to playing Supermassive’s The Quarry with a friend, you’ll have to do it via local couch co-op or via Movie Mode, as The Quarry online multiplayer mode has been delayed to July!

This announcement was made by Supermassive today, where the studio confirmed that the online multiplayer component will be available via a title update on July 8!

In addition to that announcement, Supermassive has released a The Quarry gameplay overview video as well, which details just what players will get into with the upcoming horror game.

Narrated by Will Byles, director of The Quarry at Supermassive Games, the gameplay overview trailer covers a wide range of topics including the premise behind the game, types of gameplay features, accessibility options, and game modes. Included as part of the overview trailer is a quick peek at the new online multiplayer mode, in which the host invites up to seven friends to watch and vote on key decisions to create a story shaped by the whole group.

For those not planning on playing co-op, you might want to reconsider, as the game features over 180 endings, and playing with a buddy will spice things up a bit.

The Quarry is set for release this June 10 for the PS4. PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
