The Witcher Franchise Sales Now at Over 75 Million Copies Sold (Update)

The Witcher 4

CD Projekt RED has announced today during its quarterly earnings call that The Witcher franchise sales have now reached a staggering 75 million copies sold in total.

The 75+ million copies consist of The Witcher, The Witcher 2: Assassin’s of Kings, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

No breakdown has been given, though we suspect The Witcher 3 is the one with the most sales given it was released on more platforms, and is even available on current-gen consoles.

Speaking of which, if you still haven’t played The Witcher 3, go read our review of the current-gen re-release where we state, “the best role-playing games of the last generation and one of my all-time favorite games, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s next-gen update/port makes what many considered to be a perfect game even better. For the new players, they’ll be able to experience what exactly all the talk has been about, only in a vastly superior, definitive version of the game. As for the old players, this update gives you the perfect excuse to invest hundreds, if not thousands, of hours once more.”

Update: In a separate announcement, CDPR also confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has sold over 50+ million copies!

Understandable that The Witcher 3 is the one that sold the most given it was released on PlayStation platforms (the first two didn’t see a PlayStation release), and also got a re-release on current-gen (PS5, Xbox Series X|S).

That’s a very impressive accomplishment and milestone for The Witcher series. I played The Witcher 3 at release and it would always crash when i played gwent, im sure it’s been fixed by now.
