Tony Hawk Pro Skater Remastered Microtransactions Not Planned, Crossplay Feature Teased

Just a few days ago, the gaming world got a tasty surprise with the announcement of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remastered, which features the original levels, pro skaters and gameplay, but updated with new visuals. For those worried that there will be Tony Hawk Pro Skater Remastered microtransactions to mar the experience, don’t, as there won’t be any — at least at launch.

Vicarious Visions boss Jen Oneal said that there are no Tony Hawk Pro Skater Remastered microtransactions planned for now, but things could change if players demand additional content.

Everything that you see at launch is going to be unlocked with gameplay. We’re not planning on having monetization at launch

Oneal states that the studio is focused on making sure players get a “complete package” first before considering adding microtransactions to the game.

Another thing that might come post-launch is crossplay. While not outright confirming it, Oneal teased it stating, “When the time comes we will say more,” which sounds like it’s something that’s being planned at the very least.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remastered skates out this September 4 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Do you want to see additional content for purchase post-launch or do you think it will ruin the game if it had it?
