Kingdom Come Deliverance Creator Mocks Ubisoft, Says It Could Make “10 KCD2-Sized Games” Every Year
Ubisoft is currently going through a difficult period. A few months ago, the company announced a major restructuring plan that included a large number of layoffs, which are still ongoing.
It was also revealed that the company recorded record losses of 1.3 billion this fiscal year, although it still expects a strong recovery in the coming years.
Because of this situation, many reactions have appeared online. One of the latest came from Daniel Vávra, co-founder of Warhorse Studios.
Kingdom Come Deliverance Creator Mocks Ubisoft’s Huge Workforce

Vávra posted a message on X (formerly Twitter) about Ubisoft’s current situation. He said, “Ubisoft has 16 600 employees after layoffs. Ooops. Thats about 70 Warhorse sized studios.”
He also added that this number of employees would be enough to create 10 AAA games the size of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, “each developed for 7 years, released every year!”
He finished his comments jokingly by asking if he should buy Ubisoft shares now that the company’s stock price has dropped.
If you don’t know, Ubisoft is currently preparing to launch Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced on July 9, a fully rebuilt remake of the 2013 classic. Previously, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has also confirmed that two “very promising” Far Cry games and several new Assassin’s Creed projects are currently in development, including both single-player and multiplayer titles.
All of this shows how Ubisoft is working hard to recover from its recent struggles, and the company is now putting a strong focus on its biggest franchises in hopes of rebuilding player trust and achieving better results in the coming years.
