V Rising 1.1 Envisioned as a “Side Chapter” by the Studio, Size and Content Not Yet Decided
With V Rising finally launching into its version 1.0 state on PC and on PS5, the dev team at Stunlock is taking a quick breather before diving into their next major target milestone, and that’s V Rising 1.1!
Speaking about what’s coming next for the vampire action game, Stunlock states that while the size and content of this upcoming patch have yet to be decided, they envision it as a “side chapter” in the vampire journey, and will offer fresh experiences to explore rather than a major overhaul. Furthermore, the devs have ideas already brewing and even concepts of upcoming characters that might make an appearance.
Given the studio’s own statement, it seems this is quite far off, as apart from taking a quick break, they are also still in the conception phase, which means it’ll be a few months at the very least until players get anything new to play with, as Stunlock mentions, “It might take some time, but we always strive to ensure it’s worth the wait.”
On the PS5 version front, Stunlock says that they are evaluating feedback and will use any lessons learned to update the PS5 version in the future.
Finally, while nothing has been announced, Stunlock also mentions how there’s a lot of room to grow for the brand in general, and how Vardoran is a “world brimming with potential,” and offers opportunities for an expansion, or even a fresh take in a “future new game.” Do note that this doesn’t seem a sequel is on the way, but rather, it comes off as the studio looking at other possibilities or directions they can take the brand next. Even if a spinoff game is in the cards, that will take some time as well given there is V Rising 1.1 first.
Speaking of updates, the studio released Hotfix 8 on both PC and PS5 just a few days ago, and here’s what got changed in it.
