V Rising Update 1.008.001 Flies Out This July 2
Stunlock Studios has released V Rising update 1.008.001, and this unannounced title update resolves a minor issue, but the studio also hints at something bigger coming to players tomorrow. Read on for what’s new in V Rising’s July 2 title update patch notes.

It seems today’s patch is a (very) minor update that has something to do with the DLC UI on the PS5 version. Here’s what the official V Rising Twitter account had to say about it:
No, this was a teeny tiny patch that implemented a DLC Upsell button in the main menu for PS5 🤓

While that fix seems quite minor, it does make one wonder why it would take 3GB of data to fix what seems to be a simple UI issue. Well, it looks like Stunlock has something planned for tomorrow as well per the V Rising Twitter account:

Mind, we are not saying that something to the game will be added, as this tease could be for actual V Rising merch or whatnot. Add in the fact that Stunlock mentioned recently that they are taking a quick break before diving into V Rising 1.1, which is being considered as a “side chapter” by the studio.
