Valorant Console Version Announced, Beta Sign-Ups and FAQ Now Live

For those of you on console who have been wistfully waiting for Riot’s competitive FPS to come your way, good news: today is the day that a Valorant console version was announced! Limited beta sign-ups are available now over on the game’s official website.

Here are some details regarding the beta from the game’s website:

Start Date: June 14, 1PM PT/4PM ET/4AM HKT

• Q: How do I register for the VALORANT Console Limited Beta, and what can I expect after I do?
  • A: You can register for the VALORANT Console Limited Beta right now, on this page! Then, starting June 14 and continuing throughout the Limited Beta, if you’re invited we’ll email you instructions to access the game. You’ll also be able to invite 5 friends to join you, with your personal referral link.
• Q: Can I play VALORANT against my friends who play on a different platform than I do?
  • A: When you’re actually queuing up, Xbox and PlayStation players will only be able to play together, and will not be able to join games with PC players. We believe strongly in competitive integrity, and this is the best way for us to keep the experience fair and consistent for players on both console and PC.
• Q: How will progression work, and will it reset after VALORANT is live on consoles?
  • A: You’ll have the same account for either console or PC, and all progression you make while playing on any platform will stay with your account always. That includes anything you’ve already earned or purchased on PC, it’ll be there when you log in on a console. So any progress on the Battlepass, Agents you recruit, or skins you purchase will carry over between console and PC, and will still be on your account once the Limited Beta finishes.
• Q: What Agents will be unlocked for me in the Limited Beta?
  • A: If it’s your first time playing VALORANT, you’ll have a select few agents available, which are the same for all new players. If you already have a VALORANT account, all the Agents you have unlocked will be playable.
