In some rather not-so-surprising news, Focus Entertainment has announced that Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has been delayed to the second half of 2024!

This was revealed in a new press announcement of the publisher’s game release program, where it mentioned Banishers: Ghost of New Eden (which was already pushed back to Feb. 2024), and how Focus will reveal the game’s release date in “early December. The publisher states that Space Marine 2’s release date being pushed back to the second half of 2024 is due to the time needed to properly polish the game and to ensure the best possible experience.

As someone who’s been eagerly looking forward to the game, I’m all for the delay. You know what they say, a bad game is bad forever, so I’d rather we get a polished experience than something rushed just to capitalize on holiday sales.

If you haven’t checked the game out, go watch the extended gameplay of it. It’s looking quite nice and reminds me of the Gears of War franchise.
