WWE 2K23 MyGM Mode Adds 5 New GMs, NXT 2.0 & WCW Brands, and 7 New Match Types

We at MP1st have some great news for those looking forward to taking the reins as WWE General Managers in the next WWE 2K installment. WWE 2K23‘s MyGM Mode will feature five new GMs including the likes of Kurt Angle and Mick Foley for a total of nine GMs. Besides these additions to the GM roster, the NXT 2.0 and WCW brands as well as seven new match types including Steel Cage, Backstage Brawl, and Iron Man are being added to the mode as well.

At an invite-only event, we learned many new details about the upcoming third Visual Concepts-helmed WWE 2K title and its new content and features. Most notably, the MyGM Mode which returned to the series after 15 years with WWE 2K22 will be greatly expanded in WWE 2K23. Five legendary wrestlers and wrestling personalities are being added to the roster for a total of nine GMs:

  • Xavier Woods
  • Tyler Breeze
  • Kurt Angle
  • Mick Foley
  • Eric Bischoff

(Sonya Deville and William Regal from the WWE 2K22 GM roster have been removed.)

Brand options are also being expanded with the addition of NXT 2.0 and WCW to WWE 2K22’s brand pool (NXT UK has been removed). GMs will now be able to put wrestlers up against each other in seven new match types:

  • Steel Cage
  • Backstage Brawl
  • Fall Counts Anywhere
  • Submission
  • Iron Man
  • Last Man Standing
  • Tornado Tag

Additionally, Visual Concepts has also promised all-new ways to play the MyGM Mode in WWE 2K23, including the addition of Seasonal Challenges, Hall of Fame Trophies, Shake-Ups, Slammies, and even more.
