Xbox Cloud Gaming Supported Browsers Listed

Xbox Cloud Gaming Supported Browsers

For those who have access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, you can try the service out on your web browsers if you can’t do so on your TV. Xbox Support recently released a list of Xbox Cloud Gaming supported browsers for the cloud game service.

The list mentions a total of three different browsers across all platforms, with support for Windows, Android, iOS, and Mac. Check the full list out below.

Supported browsers for cloud gaming on the web

Windows 10 version 20H2 or later – Microsoft Edge & Google Chrome

iOS 14.4 or later – Safari

iPadOS 14.4 or later – Safari

ChromeOS 79 or later – Google Chrome

Android 6.0 or later – Microsoft Edge & Google Chrome

It’s worth noting that you can only access Xbox Cloud Gaming on Windows and Android via Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. Edge runs on the same sort of tech as Google Chrome, which may explain why it works. Firefox is not listed on any of the platforms, however, so if you’re someone who mainly prefers Firefox, you’re going to have to use something else for your gaming needs.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is still in beta and only some regions support the feature at the moment. The service has plans for a “great lineup” of games coming into 2023, for those looking to try out the service.
