Xbox System Update November 12

Microsoft has released a new Xbox system update on November 12, though this is nothing to get excited about. Players should expect a small file download with the firmware patch appearing as 10.0.26100.6194.

Given it hasn’t even been a month since we last saw a quality-of-life system update, don’t expect anything major from this.

Xbox’s System Update for November 2025 Isn’t Anything to Get Excited About

Per Microsoft, today’s firmware patch is for “General stability and performance improvements.” Yep, that’s about it. In comparison, last month’s system update included game hub improvements and Rewards updates.

Home customization

Players can now show and Hide the play history tile from Home to best suit their needs. To do so, just go to Settings > General > Personalization > Games & apps > Hide play history tile.

Rewards updates

We’ve added your Rewards level to your My Rewards hub as well as updated the content purchasing process to show your Rewards level and the amount of Reward points you will earn with each purchase.

Game hub improvements

We’ve added Official Club content and in-game benefits to the game hub experience for games that support these features making it easier to engage with your favorite games.

Chances are, we’ll get one more Xbox update before 2025 is over, though I wouldn’t expect anything major from it. In other Xbox news, the next-gen Xbox will reportedly run on Windows and remove the paywall for multiplayer gaming. We’re hoping more news about that becomes available starting in 2026.

I would expect as MSoft moves to a more PC environment, including stuff like Steam to be played on whatever comes next (If the XBox Ally is any example)- that multiplayer pay walls would soon become a thing of the past, as a more fluid PC experience rolls out regarding their ecosystem changes. Problem is, they are about a decade behind where they should be (upgradable hardware for ‘consoles’, when? Im talking CPU/GPU/RAM), and a few dollars too high in the asking department for what is fielded. The price increases should have waited until the rollout of next gen (if not console software bringing next gen functions to the current console lineup). They are putting the egg before the nest, so to speak, and it is not allowing their advances to properly incubate amongst consumers, to justify these increased costs. I would argue that consumer trust is so degraded that even if they pushed out a console update integrating Steam/GOG onto the Series X, it still wouldn’t increase sales how they want: because the damage is already done.
