Xbox System Update on October 22 Adds New Quality-of-Life Features
Microsoft released a new Xbox system update on October 22, introducing some quality-of-life additions to the console. While the additions aren’t anything ground-breaking, I gather Xbox fans will still appreciate it all the same.
There are Home customization updates, game hub improvements and more.
Check out the complete patch notes for today’s console update.
Latest Xbox System Update Adds Improvements
Players will see the OS version as 10.0.26100.6171 (xb_flt_2510ge.251016-1435), so you know if you have it applied. The changes made for today include:
Home customization
Players can now show and Hide the play history tile from Home to best suit their needs. To do so, just go to Settings > General > Personalization > Games & apps > Hide play history tile.
Rewards updates
We’ve added your Rewards level to your My Rewards hub as well as updated the content purchasing process to show your Rewards level and the amount of Reward points you will earn with each purchase.
Game hub improvements
We’ve added Official Club content and in-game benefits to the game hub experience for games that support these features making it easier to engage with your favorite games.
It’s not only Xbox gamers who got a system update today. Sony earlier released a new PS5 firmware patch, which was more than just your standard stability update.
In terms of Xbox games, exclusivity is a thing of the past, as the president of Xbox even said recently that exclusives are “antiquated.”
