Xbox System Update on Aug. 13 Delivers Play Anywhere Filtering
Microsoft has released a new system update for Xbox gamers, and this is more than just a standard stability patch. Players for both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, will see the firmware update out today, August 13, and this delivers new features.
Check the console’s settings and update the Console Info to get the latest system update, which gamers will see as OS version 10.0.26100.5362. Yep, Microsoft really needs to sort out how they name their firmware patches, but that’s a conversation for another day.
Today’s patch adds Play Anywhere filtering and Play History, both of which are welcome additions to the console’s features.
Xbox System Update on August 13 Adds Play Anywhere Filtering and It Sounds Super Useful
Xbox Play Anywhere Filtering
For those who like to play games across multiple devices, you can now quickly find your Xbox Play Anywhere games in your collection by using the Xbox Play Anywhere filter found in the Capabilities filter list.
Play History
When you’re on Home, the last item in your most recently played list represents a collection of games played on other devices — allowing you to seamlessly jump back into games you might have started elsewhere.
That’s about it for what’s new from Microsoft today.
In other Xbox news, we recently uncovered evidence that Gears of War: E-Day and State of Decay 3 are headed to PS5. Mind, it’s not really that surprising, given Microsoft’s new platform-agnostic stance on publishing.
It also works the other way around, as Sony is now pushing out Helldivers 2 on Xbox Series X|S later this month, which is a huge win for Xbox gamers.
Once another system update is out, expect it here on MP1st.

This isn’t news, I see articles about this every single day as far as the whole hell divers garbage, if it’s not Spider-Man or Horizon Zero, Ghost of Tsushima, they can keep it, helldivers is the most repetitive overrated game that isn’t a racing or fighting or sports game because those are repetitive but they are literally a type of genre that is repetitive so it’s to be expected but a game like helldivers, I really don’t understand why it gets all this glaze. If it’s not a concrete release date or actual gameplay for SOD3, I don’t even care
