XDefiant Season 1 Launches July 2, New Faction and Content Outlined
As expected, during today’s Ubisoft Forward, XDefiant Season 1 has been announced, and it starts on July 2! Not only that, but we even get a new trailer featuring the new faction called “GSK,” and more!
XDefiant Season 1 Info:
Release Date: July 2
New Faction: GSK
Faction Abilities:
- Barbed Wire, Trophy System (stickable to walls)
- Ultra: Riot Shield
New Maps: Clubhouse, Daytona, Rockefeller
New Mode: Capture the Flag
New Weapons: LVOAC Rifle (Assault Rifle), L115 Sniper Rifle, Sawed-Off Shotgun (secondary)
The trailer confirms the previous leak that the first faction to be introduced is from Rainbow Six Siege. Alongside the info above, we also see a trophy system in the trailer which we assume is part of the faction’s abilities.
New mastery (prestige) emblems, and camos were also shown off as part of Season 1, which means players have a lot of new stuff to grind for.
A full blow out for Season 1 is set for July 1. However, players can get something starting today, as Ubisoft also announced that players can get a free eruption skin for weapons if they play in the next 48 hours.
We’ll add more info once more info is known, but for the most part, the content above is what we shoiuld expect come July 2.
In other XDefiant news, a game update is set to be released this week that should nerf sniper rifles and bunnyhopping alongside other changes.
