Ubisoft is all set to unleash the first season of XDefiant tomorrow, July 2! But luckily, we don’t need to wait until tomorrow to see what’s incoming, as we have the XDefiant Season 1 new content info that covers everything! From the new GSK faction, new weapons, new maps and more.

Thanks to Ubisoft, we even got Season 1 gameplay as well! Check out the trailers and info for everything new coming to XDefiant Season 1 on July 2.

XDefiant Season 1 New Content:

Highlights:

  • GSK Faction (Rainbow Six)
  • 3 New Maps (released one per month)
  • 3 New Weapons
  • New Mastery Camos
  • 2 New Game Modes (Capture the Flag, Bomb)

GSK Faction:

  • Ability 1: GSK Shock Wire – Slows down and electrocutes enemies who walk into it
  • Ability 2: GSK  ADS (Trophy System) – Can be mounted on walls, will destroy all incoming grenades in a specific radius
  • Passive: Deflects headshots (reduced headshot damage, sniper rifles will even need two headshots to eliminate)
  • Ultra: GSK Flashshield – Shield equipped with a flashbang, players will be able to use a pistol to fire while the ultra is enabled

New Weapons:

  • LVOA-C Rifle (Assault Rifle) – According to Patrick “Aches” Price, is a “souped up M4.” Better handling, faster fire rate but with less range and more recoil. One of the fastest time-to-kill assault rifles when it comes to body shots.
  • L115 Sniper Rifle – Middle ground between the M44 and the TAC-50. Not too slow, not too fast, but reliable on one-shot kills.
  • Sawed-Off Shotgun (secondary) – Much weaker than primary shotguns especially in terms of range. Will be slower in movement speed compared to pistols. Will be faster than SMGs, but 5-10% slower than other secondary weapons.

New Maps:

  • Clubhouse (available at launch)
  • Daytona (in season release)
  • Rockefeller (in season release)

New Modes:

Capture the Flag (in season release)

New Mastery Camos:

  • Titanium Violet (Mastery Level 4)

  • Titanium Azure (Mastery Level 5)

  • Titanium Prisma (Mastery Level 6)

Ranked Mode:

Tiers and the corresponding emblems attached to each tier:

  • Players will be able to play ranked right when Season 1 starts, but that will be in “Ranked Practice,” for seven days. Once that warming up period is over, ranks will reset. Ubisoft has now confirmed that XDefiant Ranked in Season 1 will start a day after the Season 1 rollout, so expect Ranked to be available in full on July 3.
  • No restrictions from Bronze to Diamond (a four-man team can be all bronze, a mix of the different tiers). However, once a player reaches Diamond, the party size of the Diamond player will be reduced to two per team (same with Legends).
  • Once a season is over, depending on how well you did in that season, players will be put back in Silver (various levels of Silver depending on performance), except for Bronze tier players who will remain in Bronze.

Season 1 Creator Codes:

At the start of Season 1, players will be able support their favorite XDefiant creator.  Players will be able to choose their chosen creator in the in-game store, pick a creator, and their code will be linked to your account for the next 14 days or until you decide to cancel. Anytime you buy an in-game item in the store, your preferred creator will get a  cut of the purchase.
