Zenless Zone Zero update 1.4 is arriving this week, and with it comes the addition of two brand-new agents, Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa. While the latter will be entirely free for everyone upon login, Hoshima Miyabi, the newest Frost Anomaly Agent, will be in the update’s first available banner. But before you get ready to spend all those hard-earned Polychromes on some tapes for rolls, developers miHoYo first want you to learn all about Miyabi’s tragic back story with their newest animated short, The Path to Becoming a Hero.

Zenless Zone Zero’s Miyabi Proves That Heroes Are Born to Protect

Zenless Zone Zero fans, prepare for some potential tears as the latest animated short is live! The Path to Becoming a Hero takes us through the tragic backstory of Hoshimi Miyabi, the upcoming Agent available to earn in update 1.4.

miHoYo outdid themselves with this animated short, something even fans pointed out in the video’s comment section. It’s not only animated well, but the story that unfolds in the short minutes manages to tug at those heartstrings with just the right feel. I’m not crying, I swear, I am not crying.

Anyway, Hoshimi Miyabi will be featured in the update 1.4 first banner, and we’re sure that after seeing this short, many fans (including me) will try and roll for her. So good luck to you all!

However, if you’re someone who is waiting for another agent to pop up, at the very least, you’ll enjoy a new agent at 1.4’s release, as Asaba Harumasa will be free for everyone, along with the story content and other features and events.  You can read some highlights in our Zenless Zone Zero update 1.4 preview post.

Asaba Harumasa and Hoshimi Miyabi will be available in Zenless Zone Zero starting December 18.
