Alan Wake 2 Update 1.004 Day One Update Now Available

Remedy Entertainment has released Alan Wake 2 update 1.004 across the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. This update is likely the day one patch, as the game is set to release in a few hours. Here’s what’s included.

Remedy has yet to release any official notes, though based on our tests, we can tell the performance has been improved in both quality and performance modes. Additionally, Remedy informed us during the review process that some bugs would be fixed ahead of launch that players shouldn’t encounter now.

Should Remedy release any official notes, we’ll update this post. We’ve also reached out to them on X. Otherwise, if you are one of the many who have already pre-loaded the game, be sure to have this update installed before the game unlocks later tonight.
