Apex Legends Update 2.43 Pushed Out This January 18 (Update)

Apex Legends Account Reset

Respawn Entertainment has released Apex Legends update 2.43 on all platforms, and given we just got the big Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth collab, don’t expect anything from this outside of fixes. Read on for what’s new in the Apex Legends January 18 patch notes.

Apex Legends Update 2.43 Patch Notes | Apex Legends January 18 Patch Notes:

Update: Respawn has released the official patch notes.

Happy Thursday, legends! We just pushed an update to @PlayApex to address the following issues:

📌 Ring and Survey Consoles no longer spawn in every location
🚪 You can once again break doors while using Octane’s Heirloom
📃 Match Summary will now correctly show your Match Placement
🎯 A visual error when aiming down the sights of the Havoc
⚠️ A crash specific to players on Xbox consoles
⚔️ An issue with the Buster Sword R2R5 that would prevent players from using their abilities

Respawn hasn’t released the official patch notes just yet, though we’re expecting that to change really soon. We have listed the issues the dev is tackling below via the official Apex Legends Trello board.

INVESTIGATING:

  • [FFVII] Badge Reward screen does not display badge rewards
  • Crashes referencing FS_CheckAsyncRequest when loading into a map
  • Playing at 165+ FPS may cause stuttering during some gameplay scenarios
  • Button prompts may not appear on summary/death screen, including report button – but buttons still work!
  • Legends may rotate when exiting a Trident

IN-PROGRESS:

  • [Octane] Unable to kick in doors with heirloom equipped
  • Match summary no longer shows match placement
  • [Havoc] Weapon moves for a second when entering ADS while moving
  • [Buster Sword] Unable to activate Limit Break in Firing Range after dying with it activated
  • [Buster Sword] Using Slam OOB makes abilities unusable

That’s about it. In other Apex Legends news, in case you didn’t know, Respawn stealthily added killcams in the latest update.

Once the official patch notes are out, we’ll update the article.

Update: The official patch notes from Respawn has been added.

Lol so before we had the 190fps issue for ages, before it finally got fixed, now we have a 165fps issue, but it has been under investigation since may 2023, how the H does this take so long twice!!!
