Phantom Targets Revealed

Thanks to the assistance of many Raiders, Shani finally pinpointed the source of the phantom targets: erratic Wasps. These ARC units are exhibiting behavior she’s never seen before: emitting strange noises, flying in irregular patterns, and carrying unidentifiable tech. They’re all swarming towards one location. She needs further assistance to understand what’s waiting for them there.

Improvements to Map Condition Scheduling

We have been working to make sure that the way we schedule Map Conditions is aligned with your playing habits. To that end, we’re introducing Regional Map Condition Scheduling. Starting with 1.42.0, Map Conditions will have their schedule offset based on regions, instead of a single, global schedule.

This means that the schedule will shift to fit specific regions’ peak hours to better match your experience. This way, it’ll be less likely to miss out on a map condition regardless of where you are.

Don’t hesitate to tell us how Regional Map Condition schedules are working by chatting with us on our Discord! We’re eager to see what everyone’s experience is like and make adjustments accordingly.

Note: we will update the Map Condition tracker on the website to reflect this change soon. For now, we are aware the information on the website may not reflect the in-game conditions.

Key Points for Fair Play and Anti-Cheat

  • Third-party cheat software: Embark says it investigates reports of software that provides in-game or account-level advantages, but first verifies whether the software actually works. It warns that unofficial software can also expose players to account, personal-data, and security risks.
  • Account security: Players are encouraged to enable 2FA or passkeys on accounts linked to their Embark ID and never share their credentials.
  • Cheat bans: Improvements made with Anybrain and Denuvo Anti-Cheat have allowed Embark to quickly take action against many accounts using recently popular cheating software.
  • Repeat offenders: Embark is working on ways to make it harder for permanently banned, serial cheaters to create new accounts and return to the game.
  • Economy exploits: Detection of players involved in economy exploits has improved, allowing Embark to identify and sanction offenders more quickly.
  • Teaming and matchmaking abuse: Several initiatives are underway to combat players deliberately teaming up, forcing their way into lobbies, and griefing others.
  • More updates coming: Embark says these Fair Play efforts will continue to be expanded to improve the experience across the Rust Belt

Congratulations to the Winners of the Rubber Duck Design Contest!

Last Thursday, the 3 finalists of the Rubber Duck Design Contest were selected via popular vote on our Discord. We have since begun working on bringing the ducks into the game, and we will add them in a future update!

Soon enough, you’ll be able to fill your Raider Den with ducks made by the super-talented gekko.rar, im_AshCheeks and nassguhl.

When it comes to known issues, Embark is aware of the Xbox, PC crashes, so expect a follow-up patch to tackle those and other bugs.

We’re about two months out from the Frozen Trail content drop, which us set to release on October 8, and will bring the following:

  • The Next Frontier – Raiders will venture beyond the mountains into a harsh, frozen settlement at the edge of the Rust Belt, featuring greater verticality, exploration, and opportunities for discovery.

  • New High-level Challenge – Frozen Trail introduces an enormous new ARC Operation built for experienced Raiders, emphasizing meaningful decisions, dynamic encounters, cooperation, and survival.

  • New ARC, New Threats – New ARC threats will challenge Raiders with new behaviors and require players to adapt how they move and fight.

  • Deepening Progression – Players will be able to expand beyond their Raider Den into a new Outpost, which can be decorated and used to research the world and begin reclaiming the surface. Frozen Trail will also introduce changes to the Skill Tree and Raider Decks, giving players more ways to shape their Raider.

  • And More – The team is continuing to work on new content to enhance players’ experiences, as well as new weapons (and personalization!), gadgets, cosmetics, instruments and other surprises, alongside continued improvements to matchmaking, anti-cheat, stability and quality of life updates.

Once a new patch is out, expect it here on MP1st.
