Battlefield 6 Season 5 Hotfix 1 Deployed on October 15 via Update 1.000.035
Just a day after the Season 5 patch for Battlefield 6 was rolled out, DICE has released an emergency hotfix for the first-person shooter on all platforms on October 15.
This is a small download and is a hotfix centered on fixing a game-breaking issue, so don’t expect this to fix every bug that was introduced in Season 5.
BF6 Audio Issue From Season 5 Now Resolved
Per the developers, today’s patch does the following: “We have deployed a hotfix to resolve an issue that could cause audio to cut out until the game is restarted.”
Another known bug is in REDSEC that prompted DICE to disable Airstrikes, stating, “We are aware of Airstrikes in Rapid Royale not functioning properly and have temporarily disabled them. We’ll provide an update once they are re-enabled.”

The latest Battlefield community announcements report the following issues and status updates:

| Battle Royale Duos matchmaking | Resolved. Matchmaking has been restored across all platforms; restarting the game or re-queuing may be necessary. |
| Bot-filled lobbies and matchmaking | Developers deployed backend changes before Season 5 to reduce excessive AI-filled matches and improve lobby population. Matchmaking was reported to have stabilized, but remains under monitoring. |
No timeline has been given by the developers on when thewse items will be fixed, but we’re hoping it won’t take that long.
