Black Myth Wukong New Update 1.000.021 Fixes Screen Tearing and Other Issues

Game Science has pushed out Black Myth Wukong update 1.000.021 on consoles and PC, and this brings various technical fixes. Those on Steam, this patch will be for download tomorrow, January 14.

Don’t expect any new content, as this patch is solely aimed at fixing various issues on both consoles and PC.

Black Myth Wukong’s Update for January 13 Applies Technical Fixes via Patch 1.000.021

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where performance was below expectations due to a malfunctioning Super Resolution setting. (PC)
• Fixed an issue where Super Resolution could not be set correctly after applying Recommended Graphics Settings. (PC)
• Fixed incorrect water behaviour in the Heart of Birthstone area.
• Fixed incorrect snow interaction behaviour under certain conditions.
• Fixed screen tearing in the Journeyer’s Chart UI in Performance Mode. (PS5)
• Fixed an issue where using Non-White’s Spirit in the Hut of Immortality caused the game to crash.
• Fixed an issue where, under certain graphics quality settings, visual effects for some Stone Monkey skills disappeared too early.
• Fixed an issue where Controller Type settings were not saved correctly after relaunching the game. (Steam)

What to Know Before Patch Installation

This could prevent you from launching the game, corrupt your save files, cause mods to malfunction, or trigger error pop-ups during gameplay. • If you encounter unusually large update sizes during patch installation, or if the game gets stuck, crashes, or fails to start after installation, please refer to the Installation/Patch FAQ on our official website.

With Game Science focused on the next chapter in the franchise with Black Myth: Zhong Kui, don’t expect anything major for the game anytime soon. That said, we’d love to be proven wrong.
