Blades of Fire New Update 1.004 Addresses Issues That Surfaced Since Launch

Developer MercurySteam has released the latest patch for Blades of Fire, and this one addresses a good chunk of issues, with some plaguing players since the game’s release.

Called hotfix 1.4, console gamers will see this as Blades of Fire update 1.004 (ver. 1.004.000). While there’s no new content, the amount of fixes applied is more than make this download worth it.

UI/UX

  • Added the option to change the language from the main menu (EPIC ONLY).
  • Added the option to change the colour of enemy outlines.
  • Adjustments and improvements to the settings menu.
  • Improvements to enemy health bars when they recover health.
  • Hidden HUD in some game cameras.
  • Publishing credits translated into Spanish.
  • General text corrections (all languages).
  • General improvements and corrections to the Travel Book.
  • General improvements and corrections to the HUD and HUD alerts.
  • General improvements and corrections to the Forge menus.

 GAMEPLAY AND DESIGN

  • General improvements to the ‘mission objectives’ system.
  • The display of the ‘Show next objective’ option in the settings menu has been changed.
  • Smooth camera movements have been added to certain enemies.
  • Balance adjustments to Cavimo Rex’s respawn.
  • The ability to select steels to preview more statistics without needing the materials to forge them has been added.
  • Queleas have been added as a reward during the first encounter with Aecides.
  • Fixed a bug related to a door not opening after the sand trap event.
  • Fixed a bug related to the sound and visual effects of one of King Ashkhanar’s attacks.
  • General improvements have been made to mutilation cameras to prevent undesirable synchronisations.
  • General corrections have been made to combat cameras.
  • General corrections have been made to cinematic scenes.
  • General corrections have been made to animations.
  • General corrections have been made to enemy spawning.
  • General corrections have been made to enemy outlines.
  • Some random application crashes have been fixed.

LEVEL DESIGN

  • Several no-return areas have been corrected.
  • General corrections to several collisions on the map.
  • General corrections to vegetation overlap.
  • Several corrections to terrain joints.
  • Several corrections to the LOD (level).
  • Numerous camera collisions have been added.
  • General polishing.

SFX & VFX

  • General fixes to the music system.
  • General fixes.
  • General polishing.
