Black Ops 7 New Update November 16

Call of Duty gamers might have noticed that a new file download was rolled out today for Black Ops 6, which brings the game to version 1.85.

While this is yet another hefty download, it doesn’t introduce any new content. What it does is it preps the COD HQ app for the arrival of Black Ops 7 later this week.

Given how Activision is forcing integration of all its Call of Duty games in one app (which they seem to be changing tact about), we can’t say we’re surprised.

Black Ops 6’s Latest Update on November 10 Adds Black Ops 7 Data Into COD HQ

Given this is a preload for Black Ops 7, don’t expect any patch notes to be released. We can confirm based on our own update that this will bring two packs on PS5: Campaign, with Zombies and Multiplayer bundled as one. On PS4, there will be three packs to download: Campaigb, Multiplayer and Zombies.

Once the update is out, players will be required to reinstall Black Ops 6 and Warzone packs to continue playing those modes. Regardless if you’re interested in playing or purchasing Black Ops 7, today’s update is mandatory to play the game online.

Once you’ve downloaded the update, “check the “Manage Install” section in Call of Duty to confirm Black Ops 7 packs are installed (thanks, CharlieIntel).

That’s about it. As far as we’re aware, there are no player-facing changes made to any Call of Duty game today. Players will be ready to jump into Black Ops 7 on November 14, thanks to this update, though.
