College Football 25 Update 1.023 Released as Part of Server Downtime

EA Sports has rolled out College Football 25 update 1.023, and this should address gameplay issues that have been plaguing the game since the last patch was released a month ago.

Alongside the patch, the servers have also been taken down for  a few hours, so if you can’t login, it’s not an issue, as it should be back up once maintenance is finished. Downtime began at 6 am ET/3 am PT and should last for at least 3-4 hours if past maintenance sessions are anything to go by.

It's safe to say that EA Sports College Football 25 is a gigantic success for publisher Electronic Arts (EA), and according to the company's CEO, Andrew Wilson, this couldn't be achieved without using AI (Artificial Intelligence) in development.

College Football 25 Gets New Update 1.023 on All Platforms

EA has released the patch notes, and it’s a short one that focuses on a specific change:

• Today’s update features a boost to option based offenses with tuning to the pitch mechanic. This means you will have more consistent success when running option pitch plays in #CFB25

Outside of that official changelog, Reddit user MartianMule claims the following items have been added:

• Kansas State
• West Virginia
• UNLV
• Oregon
• Oregon 2: they never actually wore these, were probably planned if they made the semis.
• Gray Jerseys/Pants for Toledo

The community noted the following items have been adjusted/fixed:

Now able to scroll through recruits on your board using the right stick on the controller (via Working-Deer-5417)

Removed ability to edit fake teambuilder players in Dynasty. (via Slay-Dee)

As expected, EA hasn’t released the patch notes just yet, which is par for the course for the developers. While we’re waiting on that, here are some of the known issues players are still dealing with:

• Stock Pro Style playbook still doesn’t work
• Custom Scheduling not working as intended

We’ll add more to it as we find other bugs that have yet to be resolved. Once the patch notes are out, we’ll update the article to reflect the changes made, so sit tight.
