Death Stranding 2 Update 1.011 Rolled Out and Is the Third Patch Released This Week
Following the addition of the Power Save feature in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach earlier this week, Kojima Productions released a follow-up patch that was a mystery to what it actually did.
It seems the developers aren’t done there, as Death Stranding 2 update 1.011 (complete version 1.011.000) is out for download today for PS5 owners.
Same as the previous patch, this is an unannounced update download, so don’t expect much from it.
Death Stranding 2 Gets Updated to Version 1.011 on Oct. 24
Unfortunately, Kojima Productions or the PlayStation support studio has not shared anything about today’s patch. Did it sort out some of the issues that have yet to be resolved since launch? We can ‘t say for sure. What we do know is that there are still a fair number of technical problems that are still plaguing players.
Some of the ones we know about that have yet to be resolved include:
- PCC items are still missing player IDs
- PS5 overheating on map (for some)
- Sound issue wherein it gets super loud during combat (quick fix is to pause/unpause to normalize audio levels)
- VR melee combat is still bugged
- Enemies bugging out and AI issues. Mostly happens in the Bandit camp in the middle of Mexico. What happens is the enemy sees something on the other side of the river they want to investigate, so they start crossing but encounter a red area that’s too deep, and instead of turning back or going around they just stand there in the water trying and repeatedly failing to enter the red zone.
- Whistling animation still looks like Sam is talking (not sure if this will ever get fixed, but it is funny to see).
Hopefully, we get a proper changelog later today. If we do, we’ll update the article to reflect the new changes made.
In case you didn’t know, Death Stranding on PS5 also got updated earlier in the week as well.
