Dragon Ball Sparking Zero New Update 2.000.014 Dropped for Hotfix to Lock DLC Characters Accidentally Made Available to Everyone
Bandai Namco Entertainment and Spike Chunsoft have released a hotfix to Dragon Ball Sparking Zero today, and this is to solve a few issues that surfaced from the DLC 3 Daima Character Pack 2 released last week.
However, one “fix” might not sit well with players, though it’s understandable why Bandai Namco is doing it.
After downloading and installing the mandatory title update that was rolled out alongside the DLC, players might have noticed that they were able to use some of the premium (read: paid) DLC characters for free, which, y’know, defeats the purpose of paying for said characters.
That “issue” is now resolved with today’s title update, which gamers will see as Dragon Ball Sparking Zero update 2.000.104.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Daima DLC Fighters Now Locked Behind Paywall via Patch 2.000.104
Bandai Namco announced the following as fixed in today’s patch:
- In Classic Control mode, some skill or blast commands that include a guard button were unintentionally triggering guards.
- Certain locked characters were able to be selected by mistake.
While there is another fix included in today’s update that necessitated a fix, you can bet that DLC characters being playable for free was the main bug Bandai Namco wanted to fix ASAP, hence hte quick patch turnaround. Mind, I don’t blame the publisher, since it will hurt their bottonline if they don’t patch it right away. I just hope that other gameplay-related bugs and issues would be targeted as swiftly.
The new characters in the Daima Character Pack 2 include:
- Goku (Mini) – Super Saiyan 4
- Goku (Daima) – Super Saiyan 4
- Vegeta (Daima) – Super Saiyan 3
- Majin Duu
- Third Eye Gomah
- Giant Gomah
If you want to play as these characters, it’s best to get your wallet ready.
