Dying Light 2 Update 1.98/01.098 Issued for Technical Fixes on August 19
Techland has rolled out hotfix 1.29.2 for Dying Light 2: Stay Human today, August 19, and it’s live across all platforms. Console gamers will see this as Dying Light 2 update 1.98/1.098, and this should be a small download.
Don’t expect any new content from this, as this primarily fixes bugs, though not every issue is resolved.

Dying Light 2 Update on August 19 Fixes UV Light Issue
Per the developers, today’s update: “Survivors! Hotfix 1.29.2 for Dying Light 2: Stay Human just rolled onto the servers. It fixes various crashes and freezes, and corrects new UV lightning in some places. Make sure to update the game!”
Yep, that’s about it.
If you’re expecting this to bring back the Prologue or Spike, but that doesn’t seem to be happening, and is something the devs have ignored for the time being.
While we did get the Breach update for community content two months ago, it seems any major additions are something we shouldn’t expect for now.
If we receive another hotfix or another tease or announcement for something significant, we’ll let our readers know.
For those looking for more zombie-slaying action, No More Room in Hell 2 has recently been released on consoles and PC, and our review mentions, “this is precisely the kind of zombie game that I have been waiting for, delivering on an intense cooperative horror loop, where every single bullet, dark corridor, and desperate team-up carries real weight. It’s tense, atmospheric, and downright terrifying when things go sideways—and for modern survival horror fans, that makes it an absolute must-play.”
