Dying Light The Beast update 1.002.001

As expected, given the PC version got it yesterday, Dying Light: The Beast’s first console update is now live, which players will see as version 1.002.001.

This is a hotfix more than anything else, so don’t expect any major changes to be made, and this won’t fix all the bugs associated with the game.

Techland has outlined the changes made today, which is available below.

Dying Light: The Beast on Consoles Gets Updated to 1.002.001

Per Techland, today’s patch fixes issues with the Indoor Rain and the Disturbed Day/Night Cycle.

Once the hotfix is live on all platforms, players can then expect the APEX Car Skin to be available in the in-game stash for those who pre-ordered the game or own it through the Dying Light 2 Ultimate Edition.

In addition to today’s patch, there are a handful of bugs that are plaguing players, including:

  • Wolf axe still locked for some gamers (Pilgrim Outpost issue)
  • Biter grabs broken
  • HUD elements disappearing
  • Progression blocker on clearing the area from infected where the game doesn’t recognize the task is completed\
  • Parkour issue where Crane stops randomly and drops from climable terrain
  • Input issues with dashing
  • Upgrading weapons in the workbench downgrading stats
  • Performance issues on consoles and PC, notably blurriness
  • Frame rate drops in various instances such as lockpicking
  • Lighting, HDR issues

Note that this list is not the complete list of bugs, but some of the major issues affecting players.

We’re expecting a bigger patch to be released soon, which will tackle bigger issues. Once another patch is out, expect it here on MP1st.

In other horror gaming news, Silent Hill f is releasing in a few days, and we got our hands on it already. Read our review why this is one of the year’s best games, and should not be missed.
